BELOVED KINSEY WRIGHT
In the photo above, Kinsey Wright is seen celebrating with her teammate Laila Colina at the Super Y Conference Semifinals after Laila had just scored the winning penalty in a shootout. Kinsey, one of the team's goalkeepers, was rehabbing and out injured while her teammate Laila had taken on the team's goalkeeper responsibilities. The moment was a pinnacle teammateship by both players.
2024 WSA CUP PLAYED IN HONOR OF KINSEY WRIGHT
The 2024 WSA Cup Tournament will be played in Honor of the Legacy of our Beloved, Kinsey Wright.
We'd like to invite all WSA Cup teams, and athletes, to participate with us in honoring our Beloved Kinsey Wright during WSA Cup 2024 weekend, April 26-28.
Kinsey loved to play soccer. She loved her team. And she is loved and beloved in our community.
We we will honor her Legacy, magnify her Life, and advocate for her Message. We have a tremendous opportunity and platform to expand this worthwhile and meaningful effort during the weekend of the WSA Cup Tournament. Below are some ways we'll aim to do that.
- KINSEY WRIGHT AMAZING TEAMMATE OF THE MATCH - Two players per WSA Cup match, one per team
- Each team will receive 4X KW Trust God Amazing Teammate awards at team check-in. At the conclusion of each match teams will select a teammate from the opposing team who demonstrates the amazing qualities of a great teammate, as Kinsey embodied:
- Empower Others
- Selfless Conviction
- Add Joy
- Be Determined
- Others First
- Each team will receive 4X KW Trust God Amazing Teammate awards at team check-in. At the conclusion of each match teams will select a teammate from the opposing team who demonstrates the amazing qualities of a great teammate, as Kinsey embodied:
- PINK WSA CUP KINSEY WRIGHT, TRUST GOD WRISTBANDS - Every Player in the Tournament
- We are asking every player to wear the Kinsey Wright Pink "Trust God" bracelets on their left wrist throughout the event. The Legacy of Kinsey Wright is immense, and inside of that Legacy resides a poignant message Kinsey entrusted us to carry forward: Trust God.

- THE GUARDIAN OF THE GOAL AWARDS - Honoring 6 Goalkeepers Throughout the Tournament
- Kinsey was a goalkeeper, who literally guarded our goal for our 08 girls, and our Guardian of the Light of Truth. At the conclusion of the tournament a boy and girl goalkeeper will be recognized in the U9-U11 divisions, U12-U14 divisions, and U15-U19 divisions. An online voting process will open during the event.
