THE SIDE'S BOYS PROGRAM SELECTED FOR SUPER Y NATIONAL LEAGUE

The WSA Boys program has been selected to participate in the prestigious Super Y National League for 2019 amongst several other premier and elite level clubs in the United States.  This will mark the first year for the WSA Boys program to participate, and the second year of participation for the WSA girls program.

The Super Y League National League is affiliated with the USL Professional League (United Soccer Leagues) and provides a platform for elite competition, scouting exposure, and player identification through the expanse of the Super Y USL scouting network and pathways.  The Super Y enters it's 21st season of competition in 2019.  The league network includes an expanse of the top clubs in the United States and includes a post season pathway that culminates with Super Y Nationals at the IMG Academy in Florida, and also features a robust player scouting and ID combine. 

The league hosts competition in 5 age divsions: U13 (2007's), U14 (2006's), U15 (2005's), U16-17 (2003's & 2004's), and U18-U19 (2002's & 2001's). 

The girls program enjoyed tremendous success in 2018 with 3 of the 5 age divisions finishing in the top-2 of the league, while the 04 Girls and 05 Girls were Mid-South Champions, and the 02/03 Girls were co-champions.  The 04's and 05's represented the Mid-South Conference at the National Event which takes place at IMG Academy in Florida. 

The WSA Boys program has a long history of success dating back to the club's recognized founding team, the WSA 80 boys (current coaches at WSA from that team include Barry Roberts, Kevin King, Ryan Bush, and WSA 80 frequent guest player, Pedro Colina).  The past few years the boys club at WSA has been a dominant force at state, regional and national levels.  Having recently finished in the top-2 of 5 of the 6 age divisions in the Red River NPL regional based league amongst clubs from a 5-state region (00B, 01B, 05B Champions, 03B, 04B Runners-Up), and leading Oklahoma in teams qualifed for last year's Oklahoma Champions Cup with 9 teams represented in the 6 age divsions of OPC's version of a Final-4, the Super Y National League represents another opportunity and challenge for WSA boys players! 


"The league's schedule that syncs up great with our club periodization and other league platforms, the very reasonable travel and reasonable expense to each player, elite competiton, and exposure for our players, are all great facets of this league platform," reports WSA Executive Director, Roger Bush.

SUPER Y CLUB TRAINING & SOCIAL EVENT
The club tentatively has planned a Super Y cross-training and social for Sunday, July 28th. 

SUPER Y NATIONALS 2019 - IMG ACADEMY IN FLORIDA

One of the nation's elite sports facilities, the IMG Academy in Florida will play host to the Super Y National Finals, whic take place each year in mid-December, featuring the various Conference Champions throughout the United State's Super Y League.
