When registering for WSA Soccer online you are asked to complete and agree to several terms of participation in WSA Soccer for the seasonal year. These documents are located at this hub for your convenience and full transparency of our understanding of our agreement terms. If you have any questions please seek clarification with a WSA officer, director, or administrator.
1. EACH OTHER COVENANT
This agreement states that the player/parent and club understand their commitment to each other through various standards of participation, leadership, and interaction. This long-standing agreement was first authored in 1995, and has stood the test of time.
MEDICAL TREATMENT AUTHORIZATION
This document authorizes treatment of your child in any case of an injury, and provides permission to treat and transport in any case of an emergency by on site trainers, staff, coaches, or medical person.
REGISTRATION VERIFICATION
This agreement acknowledges you can only register to one team for the entire seasonal year and thus brings forth the "year-long club" commitment.
INDEMNIFY & HOLD HARMLESS
The parent agrees to hold WSA Soccer harmless and indemnify all officers, agents, directors, and employees of the organization.
OPC MEMBER CLUB & SPORTSMANSHIP
The parent and player acknowledge that WSA is an OPC member club, and agree to participate in any WSA affiliated league by the league's sportsmanship standards.
PAY IN FULL AGREEMENT
This brings into light that the once committing to a WSA team the family is committing to a financial contract to pay 100% of the amount due on the invoice via the club's various payment plans. This is not a "month-to-month" agreement, but a year-long commitment to pay. There is an understanding different level of activity will take place within the calendar year.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE UNDERSTANDING
The agreement states an understanding that financial assistance is "need-based" and must be applied for through a review process of need, requiring certain documentation. Financial Assistance is ONLY AVAILABLE when the player remains in Good Standing and Participating. Any time a player were to remove himself/herself from "good standing" the financial assistance is revoked and all payment due in full, without deferments or discounts.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT & TERMS
This agreement acknowledges you understand financial assistance is "need-based" and not "merit-based" and undergoes a scrutiny by WSA officers for approval. It lays out the understanding that registration is required for financial assistance applications to be reviewed, and that the club will approve a new invoice amount. You agree for the club to revise your invoice per the new approved and agreed to amount and for your account to become active immediately. You are also committing to a full seasonal year, timely payments, and in any case of faulty payments you commit to remedy these within 30 days. Furthermore, a player must remain in good-standing with the club to maintain the assistance offered via deferred or reduced payments, and any time the player or parent may lose their "good-standing" with the club, the club reserves the right to revoke assistance privileges and charge and collect the full amount of the year's invoice.
CONCUSSION WAIVER
This provides the expectations for parents and players of WSA's concussion screening requirements, return-to-play protocols, and education processes for concussion awareness. Players are required to abide by this policy without exception as part of their agreement for the privilege of participating with a WSA Team.
WSA NON REFUNDABLE FEES & PAY IN FULL POLICY
Explanation that details that the payment contract entered into by the parent is to "pay in full" and that the agreement to pay in full is executed upon the completion and execution of online registration. The payment is non-refundable and must be paid within 30 days of May 1 of the subsequent year, or if the player requests and is granted a release the entire balance must be paid in full within 10 days of the release. There are not exceptions to this policy. (Per note: this is an extreme change from the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 years during times when WSA Soccer offered flexibility in payments due to a Global Pandemic and financial crisis from COVID-19).
